@mjtsai Cron job with osascript? Or is this not a cron-using user?
What's the easiest way for a user to run an AppleScript periodically?

@incanus77 I’m looking for something for less technical users. - View other replies

@mjtsai How about an Automator action with a loop and wait period? -
@incanus77 Seems like that’s equivalent to writing a script that stays running. You’d need to find some other means of getting it going. - Show more

@mjtsai Use an event that runs a script in calendar. -
@mjtsai Add it to a user account's startup items? -
@mjtsai lingon? -
@mjtsai cron and osascript? -
@mjtsai Unfortunately, using Lingon to generate a launchd entry is the easiest way I know of. -
@mjtsai I use Keyboard Maestro. -
@mjtsai my first idea would crontab and osascript? -
@mjtsai Keyboard Maestro if you already have/use it. You can set a trigger to execute periodically using the “While logged in” trigger.
