@mjtsai No, just more of a "if it isn't deprecated yet, it soon will be" thing. Apple is moving away from anything Carbon or Carbonesque.

@grynspan AESendMessage is part of CoreServices and has no replacement API. I assume lots of non-deprecated stuff is built on it.

@mjtsai Are you seeing the crashes when actively using Apple Events/Script, or are they in unrelated traces? -
@grynspan Not crashes, hangs. Yes, it’s when actively sending an Apple event. Rebooting seems to fix it. -
@mjtsai Is either involved process sandboxed? -
