This story is incredibly alarming. California Republicans are allegedly creating fake drop boxes and tricking voters into depositing their ballots in them. Going to federal prison to own the libs seems stupid, so that is pretty on-brand for the people supporting Trump these days.

The Trump regime is not going to prosecute them, so they won't go to federal prison. And if the state goes after them (which is the right thing to do, and should be done), the GOP will scream that their vote is being suppressed and use it as part of their case for their coup.
