A remarkable accusation for a justice to lob against her colleagues. And tragically accurate. https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/19pdf/19a905_7m48.pdf …https://twitter.com/stevenmazie/status/1231012807891513344 …

Justice Sotomayor ends her statement by comparing the conservative justices' reticence to grant stays in execution cases with their readiness to do so when the Trump administration comes asking. pic.twitter.com/I5q1sC54rA

We should all be as angry as Justice Sotomayor that the Supreme Court's conservatives keep bending over backward to let the Trump administration twist the law against legal immigration. https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2020/02/sotomayor-trump-wealth-test-bias-dissent.html … @Slate

"Twist the law"? You really think the public charge rule is unlawful? (Not cruel or unwise, but actually unlawful.)

I think it is unlawful, but more importantly for these purposes, I think it is reasonable enough to think it unlawful that SCOTUS shouldn't allow it to go into effect without granting cert, taking full briefing, and hearing argument. What is the emergency that warrants this?

@mjs_DC Women are sensitive to being called emotional, angry, crazy, etc. It’s an often and long-used tactic by opponents to diminish the legitimacy of the woman and her argument. Just saying. #feminism #Sotomayor

Judges for the SCOTUS should be voted in, not appointed by a select group of people.
