What about J. B. McCallahan, for example? The “Blue-Eyed Badger from Kingston Town” is widely regarded among historians as Canada’s worst Prime Minister. “Oh, well, of course McCallahan, nobody’s excusing his record, but-” Gotcha, I made him up!

There’s a “Who’s the worst Prime Minister Canada’s ever had?” tweet going around, and of course it’s quickly become a divisive contest between Trudeau and Harper, which bothers me as an old crank. We’ve only had twenty-three of them. Surely we can dig back a little further.

I mean, forget that everything the original poster says also applies to Boomers, and doesn’t distinguish us from them at all.

I made mix tapes, I owned a Discman in high school, and I feel like that won’t tell you anything worth knowing about my character or tenacity. I’m glad I got to type all this out without anybody picking up the landline and causing me to lose it all, but that’s about it.

I am three months older than the line that’s generally understood to separate Generation X from the Millennials, so I’ve never found either identity to be all that relevant, and I tend to feel like these takes in particular speak for me like PETA speaks for vegetarians.
