Interesting, looks like it’s working? I’m getting a kernel panic during boot on both VMware Fusion and Virtualbox.

It rebooted into the installer at least. I’m upgrading a working 10.13 install.

That’s probably what I should try here. I bet a fresh install isn’t going to work.

Yeah it seems like VMware’s “install from the .app” breaks every year, upgrading is safer

Hah, yeah. I’d already used `createinstallmedia` to produce a bootable .cdr, but probably something is off about the bootable image.

It’s been stuck at “44 minutes remaining” and progress bar hasn’t moved in a while, I’m…not optimistic this is working

Took a long time, but the install did complete for me!

Did you use VirtualBox or VMWare? I can't get the install to work on VirtualBox (clean installation)

I can’t get a clean install to work either; I got an upgrade in VMware to work.

I upgraded within the VM, from the installer .app. Couldn’t get a the bootable DMG to boot.
