I will never understand why green gets vigilance. Should be white and blue. Also, green haste and flash are kinda odd.

Legitimate reason? Because white and blue have very similar base creatures (p/t, size & ratios, plus flying) so you get little variation. Green got vigilance to widen the variety of designs you'll see with it.

I remember red being stupidly dominant in standard for what felt like two years. I agree. They are setting us up to get so many good white cards we could choke a horse.
