        I wonder if the Samurai would agree with you..? It seems to me that their code was underwritten by operating from a place beyond fear ..

        Fearlessness is not a quality that exists independently of fear, they are interdependent. A samurai is not a fearless navel-gazer; he faces fear/death every day—how else can he honor Bushido and know he is fearless? Unless I am misunderstanding, it seems we are arguing semantics.
