1/ If a large scale culture were to find a way to produce and support confident, curious and creative adults, it would by definition allow and encourage absolute individuality, or following one's own nature.https://twitter.com/BitcoinSpeaks/status/980592206481371136 …

However an individual (as opposed to large-scale culture) attempting to put something into their culture that creates a better individual for the next generation is not necessarily naive or misguided

Unsure it’s that black & white. Certainly personal journey & responsibility feels like a majority influence but we are the result of the people we spend time with. Eg:https://www.citylab.com/transportation/2015/09/why-are-little-kids-in-japan-so-independent/407590/ …

I am not saying it is black and white. Cultural conditioning exists and is inescapable. The question was whether there can be some kind which can preserve individuality. That is demonstrably false, as it is a contradiction in terms.

In its own unique way....this is what
@albertwenger suggests we experiment with " World After Capital." I support this idea!! -
I would say
@KapilGuptaMD has it right also, if your life is dominated by survival/feeding your belly, chances are you're not going to be able to effectively focus on much else. - End of conversation
