Making better choices is predicated on seeing better choices. And while I could see the possibility of a better choice it wasn't until my heart was satisfied with the failure of my current ones that I could become free to actually make them.

If, however, that opposition is not seen as a conflicting proposition but as a complementary one, it does an incredible magic trick : It allows for more possibility, despite suggesting otherwise; more freedom, despite imposing pragmatic constraints and restrictions.
