3/ People bear the burden of their choices whether they buy into a false narrative or not. Dismissing people for foolishness is dismissing the pain and harm it causes as being deserved. This does not seem very compassionate or responsible. And it certainly changes nothing.

4/ Upholding the truth is a value in and of itself — one does it regardless of outcome or consequences, because it is the right thing to do. Focusing on the outcome or consequences is precisely the way to lose your integrity. If you don't speak truth you might as well not see it.

When someone talks about "people" it gives me the chills. What is "people" supposed to mean? The fact that some person still believes in a fallacy after the truth has been pointed out nullifies the converting effect on others? "People" is continuous, not discrete
