thank you for this. I was just having a discussion about this with someone last week. The ‘I-Me-Myself’ attitude mostly stems from insecurity more than anything else, in my opinion. Many find themselves trapped in their minds and find it hard to break out.

And in a way, western civilization ideas of self-esteem et al have contributed to it. I do not think there is a word for self esteem in my mother tongue
