I like this, but with the caveat that you exhausted yourself first: take creative rest that you earn.

Creativity follows an individual rhythm that one must discover for themselves. I don't believe in prescriptions. Whatever works.
-
Yet you're prescribing rest.... :)
-
You got me there. My intent is not prescriptive however, it's to suggest that it has a rhythm, and the pauses are equally a part.
-
Woah, this is a deeper idea than I first thought. Thanks for explaining.

Creative rests are like a rubber band. You have to build tension and release it. Over and over again. I don't have rules for the tempo of this cycle though. My gut tells me what to do.

That's it.

just had a testament to this. Took an enforced break from a project. Was roped back into it last night - noticeable how much clearer my thinking on it is and how I'm 'ready' now to jump back into it. The break was indeed rejuvenating.
