There should be a clear moral distinction between indecent proposals and indecent action.

Sure. If a bad action does not make a bad person, how do we evaluate the goodness/badness of a person?

1/ We can evaluate it, and we do, based on the most recent display of action. Such creatures we are. We assume now = forever by default.

2/ The question remains whether a single dimension of morality (good/bad) can be stretched beyond its definition of an action to an individual.

3/ What matters, I think, is not whether we can (or should) define a person as "good" or "bad" but if/when/where it is useful to do so.

4/ My comment was intended to convey that moral judgments can (and should) be applied to actions; but not as readily to individuals.
