Reminds me of "Momo" by Michael Ende. The story revolves about bankers who store time for people. The time as value analogy. Great book.
-
Reminds me of the guy who, working for a bank, exchanges his time for money…
-
…once retired, he goes back to the bank to redeem time for money and they tell him “Oh, our exchange service only works one way”.
-
This made me smile. Great one, thanks Luca.

Time is not linear for the mind, who is terrible at assessing non-linearity. Eg, spend time on task and learned, further task done faster.
-
What I mean is that it is not knowable in advance how much time it will take to do something new. It will imply the creation of knowledge.
-
Same knowledge can be created / acquired in an instant or in a millenia. Knowledge of riffle handling ++ in savanna.
-
By using a riffle against a cheetah we are using a lot of "stored" time that allows us to outspeed it! (aiming well...).
