3/3 But I am having difficulty in understanding and practicing it........so asking for more insights......
-
1/ It appears that you are too identified with the mind and only experience your life through it. Maybe that is the cause of the difficulty.
-
2/ In order to let a thought pass and simply observe it, you must establish yourself as the observer of your thoughts, not the content.
-
3/ You may say "But my house is on fire!" OK. That is true. But still, it is also true that you remain the observer, not the happening.
-
4/ The "trick" was another way to establish your being, your presence, as the real authority over the content of your thoughts.
-
5/ The problem is that when you are identified with the content you allow it to dictate your actions. This creates an imprisonment loop.
-
6/ Find other ways to get in touch of your being. Leave the thoughts for awhile. Go for a walk. Observe nature. Forget yourself.
-
7/ If you can create that space within you, then you will find the resources, the intelligence, and the will to deal with the thoughts.

11/Remember that you are always outside the mind. Be vigilant, aware. And observe every thought, just register it, nothing more is needed.
-
12/The more aware you are eaxh moment the smaller the mind gets and the less it influences you; it fades into the background, as it should.
-
13/A simple trick that has worked for me to bring back awareness is to repeat your name. "Vinay, are you there?" Hope this helps.

1/1 Thanks again for your great insightful reply....I need to study each one of it in great detail in order to understand and practice it...
