Why is there a void in the first place?
-
-
-
Because without it you would not be here to ask that question and neither would I to answer it.
-
Out of curiosity; how would you describe "a void", and is trying to fill it bad per sé?
-
You approach the question in psychological terms while I meant it (and replied) in ontological terms.
-
You can fill the void, but in order to do so you must go through it. Nothing is bad per sé, it's the quality of awareness you bring to it.
-
I realize each one has their own interpretation of "the void". My own understanding is very similar to the Buddhist Śūnyatā .

So we must learn to allow voids? Through meditation?
-
The void is always present, identification with the mind obfuscates this fact. It's a question of awareness; not resisting, not escaping.
