6/When you consistently use earbuds you limit your sense perception & activate the brain into a conditioned response (think Pavlov's dogs).

I got custom fit in-ear monitors with the idea that less sensory input = more focus. Are you suggesting it creates dependency?

It creates a habit, not dependancy. Use them if they aid with focus in specific tasks, otherwise see if you can do without.
