This is so true but so easy to forget. Do you also find it a very counter-intuitive truth? If so, why do you think that is?

-
It is counter-intuitive to a western mind that is conditioned to think in terms of outcome, expediency & "getting the thing".
-
Eastern cultures have a different mindset: one of process, thoroughness & "being the person". It reflects in their education too.
-
For example: In the West, you read books, pass a test, get a degree. In the East, you apprentice, perfect a trade or craft, open up shop.
-
We are so disconnected from the ebb & flow and the natural dynamics of getting something done that we now need "How To" books for everything
-
So some simple truth like this rings counter-intuitive because we have lost touch with our own intuition. We've been taught otherwise.
