Would you be okay with animals that did not suffer as they were killed?
Most farmers love their animals so they give them a swift death. My grandfather would cry every time before slaughtering one of his pigs.

City people have a hard time with this, but it's true. If you raise animals you care for them and don't want them to suffer needlessly.
-
My Grandfather was a dairy farmer and he sent all his animals to slaughter, like most farmers he didn't slaughter his own animals
-
That is true. My grandparents lived in a very small secluded village in Transylvania so things were a bit more primitive.
-
My father was raised on a farm. Always disliked seeing animals killed and even today, feeds all stray dogs that may show up on his door.
-
People raised along animals generally tend to be compassionate & respectful towards them. They see it as both providing for each other.

Ok, but the vast majority of meat produced in the US comes from factory farms, not your typical farmer. It's mechanized for efficiency.
