What works for me is taking a walk alone and having a conversation with myself. Connect with what I'm experiencing and relate it to myself.

Words help. It's a struggle to find the right words that make sense of what you are experiencing, but when you do you gain an understanding.

Emotions that don't get addressesed get recycled. They come and go in patterns. Knowing how to label them and how they affect you is a tool.

To understand them for yourself is enough to become a bit more detached and in control. Seek to understand and not judge.

Often there are many layers to what we feel and why that is so. The rabbit hole is deep. Be patient and address them when they come up.
