It's an interesting conundrum for a creative mind: too much constraint and no imagination can flow through, too little and it goes nowhere.

Obvious one is 'The War of Art'. For the creative constraint part. For the creative freedom look for 'Effortless Mastery' by Kenny Werner.

Latter is geared towards musicians, esp. improvising ones, but you'll find great mindsets for any creative endeavour.
