Peterson's empiricism is far inferior to that of Jung's, leading to a conflation of a symbolic interpretation for absolute truth which is absent in Jung's work.

It's not an error, it's the unavoidable outcome of their (shared) personality type. That being said, Jung had integrated his to a degree which Peterson can only intuit from afar, which allowed him to observe those aspects where Peterson remains blindly attached.
