Nobody owns ideas, we only own our presentation of them.

I agree with the sentiment, however for your logic to stand in the real world, ideas (however you want to define them) must exist independently from humans and their presentation. Irrespective of notions of ownership, all ideas exist in-and have been originated from-a human mind.
