I find that very hard, often I will use ambient noise to block out environment. I am hyper-aware of my environment, aesthetics etc. We are perceptually different. You ask questions, I observe. You relate to memory, I relate to my environment. That's why I get Nabokov.

Considering Nab's Speak Memory, & his extreme nostalgia for his lost country- I would guess he's closer to infp than whatever youve got

It does take on a demonic form in characters like Kinbote in Pale Fire, Van Veen in Ada, & HH in Lolita- whose imposition of recreated memory is tyrannical.

I have read Lolita but could not remember that, but that makes sense.

What is your memory like, can you recall feelings and sounds?

I can only recall images. I describe it often as a "blurred scrapbook". I will however never forget a visual.

Sorry to barge in, but two of my favorite people having a conversation about a subject that has changed my life is really a treat. That's all.
