It is perhaps the most difficult thing for a human being to accept that nothing is permanent in life; not even life itself. Everything must and does end. But it is precisely because it ends that anything is real. That which knows no end was never real in the first place.

Various ways to think of it (objectively). We do not know presence except by absence, and vice versa. We cannot distinguish space and time from our level of perception, therefore we only know what is real in terms of time e.g. having a beginning and and end, and so on.
