These were such awful responses w/ no accountability. People need to question why they believe the only people who “fit” were lightskin. Instead of questioning their own biases, they’d rather be dismissive. At a certain point, “the conversation needs to be had” becomes a cop out

It’s insulting and cultural appropriation because Salsa, Merengue IS Black Latino culture. It’s like how dare you use Black people’s culture and not include Afro-Puerto Ricans or Afro-Dominicans IN NYC of all places! Black People of all ethnicities need to boycott
