    Per 538, Kavanaugh and Gorsuch aren’t actually very ideologically conservative. I wonder whether that’s how they were predicted to vote when nominated, or whether it’s a thermostatic reaction (to keep the Court relatively insulated from partisanship)

    Each election there are 3 choices — the winner is always not voting. In 2016 100m people chose this option, far far more than voted for Trump. Or Clinton. “None of the above” effectively wins every pres election, and it isn’t even close.
