Well, indeed. I haven’t read AS since school, so I had no recollection of the AS-Buddhism connection. Both Hutton & App have explored that area more recently, so if I ever get back to AS I’ll read up on those works too. I’m too busy with other pointless philosophy at the moment

As you well know, many people are emotionally-invested on this issue. I don't know what Gray's argument on this is. He was largely giving a summary of Schopenhauer's views - w/rt understanding the illusory nature of self - and not his own.
