I practice #mindfulness every day, but I don’t do it to get better at sitting still in quiet rooms. I do it to get better at staying more engaged in my life regardless of the circumstances that are beyond my direct control.

Sounds good. On the other end of the spectrum I know people who are willing to put thousands of hours into formal practice - and do so in a deep way - and yet still struggle to extend that training to mundane experience. Shadow side of being 'called to the mystery' I suppose.
