Do you think/know if other interpretations arose as people were undergoing a phase shift after glimpsing Zero/nibanna? If one clearly sees experience re-emerging from Zero, then experience is understood in this deep sense of ‘non-arising’. The non-duality of form and emptiness.
I think this is why I like Shinzen’s literal translation of shunyata as zeroness instead of emptiness. Of course, SYs model makes use of the nonduality between zero and the ‘two doings’ of expansion and contraction That’s beyond my pay grade - So I don’t know how that fits here
