It’s not a ‘social media faux pas’, though. It’s just profound intellectual dishonesty. Any first year comparative religion student would be able to highlight all the ways in which most Buddhisms are very much a religion. Which is fine.
@BobThurman needs to get honest.
If we don’t understand the ways in which it acts, or is enacted as a religion, then you’re really vulnerable to all the worst aspects of ‘religion’ - which presumably is why Bob doesn’t want to admit it’s a religion.
