You can thread your wedding band onto your shoelace before a workout to avoid lifting callous, or damaging/losing your ring.

Or damaging/losing your finger, more importantly. Lots of horrible war stories of people ‘degloving’ their finger whilst grappling or lifting with a band on. They sell rubber bands now for BJJ practioners to wear.
