Lotta really shit priests out there, sounds like you’ve got yourself a good one. I grew up with a priest who was a radiator for metta - taught me a lot. He also spoke in highly mystical terms for those with the ear. I wrote a poem when I was 7, about the universality of spirit.
I wish I still had a copy of it. It was way too eternalistic, and likely not very good in general, but not bad for a seven year old in the midst of old school Catholic orthodoxy.
