Well, even dharma people do all that. Plus the complication of different language for each vehicle, etc.
Indeed - too many Buddhists become entrenched in the view/s and cultural norms of their school. Many people also seem to fail to recognise that some of their strongest views are not their own, but the cohesive tensions of the sphere of religious institution. And so on....

Studying comparative religion gave me a perspective that I wish more people could access. The way in which many people conceive of their own religious identity is quite often childish and limiting.
