Imho it goes back to the issue that one can rest in awareness but rely on infantile strategies all at once.

By infantile strategy i suggest that teachers still have dissociative devices that reflect their investment in the display of a significant self. Still triggered by vulnerability. I think the western expectation is that teachers will behave like adults

This is very interesting and strikes me as very insightful. I agree that it's about time the 'royal we' grew up and recognised that psychological growth, social adaption and so on, are all very different vectors of development to mystical knowledge, if I can call it that.
