Contemplative field-notes: Fasting through to lunch - I find that a fasted body is a lot of fun to explore, particularly physical exercise & somatic protocols. Nothing fancy, basic breath clearing & taking the somatic field as primary referent of attention. Resting, looking.
touches on something @ShinzenYoung refers to as 'flow and go' - I think (?) - attentional intimacy w/ impermanence, being a gateway to deep insight into emptiness...the scintillating mist which arises out of, and collapses down to 'gone'.

of course - this doesn't line up perfectly with other systems of practice (such as non-arising nature, etc) - but pragmatically it can be extremely helpful.
