My alternative considered announcement tweet was "So who has two thumbs and is infected with a deadly pathogen?
" so that's about my current level of worry, but it's not 0% scary. Doesn't feel much worse than a bad cold though.

I promise I will do my best not to die.

Also remember this really could be a false alarm. I have had no testing, and it is unlikely that I will get tested except long in retrospect once antibody tests become available, so I'm just making an educated guess. I'm 95% certain this is it given the anosmia, but not 100%

In case anyone is wondering: I'm still obviously ill, and maybe feel a little short of breath (possibly anxiety - I can manage a 60 second breath hold with minimal difficulty so it's clearly not especially bad), but nothing scary to report.

Current status: forgot I might have COVID-19 until someone asked how I was. Still a little tired and ill but nothing to write home about

Symptom update BTW: I feel essentially fine, but have had an upset stomach, fatigue, and poor sleep for the last couple of days. Flatmate has similar so maybe symptoms, but all three of these things are entirely within (but at high end of) normal range of variation for me.

I am now pretty confident that I won't die of this and will be very embarrassed if this prediction proves incorrect

And now I'm running a fever again. This thing really does destroy your ability to predict the future. (We've not been fully isolated due to flatmate resuming contact after a week symptom free, so it's possible this is something else, but others have reported multiple waves)

Just a small fever. Nothing to be unduly concerned about. Quite unpleasant though

Replying to @DRMacIver
Yeah (if mine was it) it's very much up and down. "Oh yeah I'm feeling better!" Later that day "Okay I need to lie down" Later that week "I think it's done?" Later that same week: *entirely loses sense of smell* D'oh.

I’ve heard this from a bunch of people. Colleague said he was mostly recovered now but still can’t smell, I wonder if it’ll spike up again.
