This isn't even necessarily *how things are*, which is where things get funky because the way you practice has constructive effects, or can change what is/isn't salient...something like that.

So some of the practices which make use of energy practices — which I think is an ok term — deliberately adopt a sort of map of the body which isn't like our usual ideas.....and this can have a sort of protective effect. It can help prevent people hurting themselves.
