I’ve noticed I’ve naturally down-regulated on silliness; humour is good when everyone believes in normality very seriously, but when everyone is shaky the more grounded response feels less aggressive

Right? This doesn't feel like the time for an edgy alt... Maybe the nature was never an edgy alt but the relevant countermeasure to the majority. Which right now might be me facedoxxed with Extremely Reasonable and Prudent and Pondered takes

Yeah I suppose ones response will vary according to _reasons_, but I’ve certainly noticed my natural response being different in style (in slightly different ways across: meat space, work, bird site, sangha). I guess it’s not especially deep, but still good to notice the pattern
