I don't like God, he has an overinflated sense of importance (few thousand years of veneration will do that to a deity). I usually only say God when I'm joking about some vague sense of sacrality. It's a matter of taste more than anything I guess. I like what you said though

As in, it has causal effects but they occur prior to knowing what world or sense of self you will have. Example: does this lead to kind thoughts at a basketball game or the next time you're abused in traffic?

Oh I see what you mean now. Yes that makes sense....sort of like your natural responsiveness becomes sensitive to the possibility of different ways of perceiving/being in a situation (talking very loosely).
