I could be wrong: in some Buddhisms, nihilism sometimes gets used to mean that there is no continuity of mind after death - I'm not supporting this as making sense, just something I find myself stumbling on, because it seems quite different to how Westerners would use nihilism.
There are other usages, like when Longchenpa uses chad pa - nihilistic denial - IIRC to mean someone who denies the lucidity of awareness. Anyway, I was mostly just subtweeting myself and you shouldn't pay attention not my prattling on.
