there really used to be a Buddhist clique on Twitter. maybe there still is but I've been shut out.

Discord is hardly a better place, but it does serve my media hoarding needs. As for Buddhist Twitter, I have great affection for it, as it helped me realize that Buddhism over-promises, and under-delivers.
