Does anyone have a particular favourite goddess mythology or story? Or something in that general area.

Mary & the female saints do count considering throughout much of the world, especially the Mediterranean area, there has been single devotion to Mary that's evolved from goddesses. There are a plethora of female saints who ppl have also had singular devotion to (St. Lucy etc).
I suppose I could have added in female saints in to my wording, for sake of theological lubrication - but she certainly counts, must be the most widely known female ever, right? Must be up there anyway

I mean, in contrast to other polytheistic religions, it's really super sparse. I don't think it's in the realm of comparison.

There have been (& are) numerous Marian cults who pray to her often to the complete neglect of the Trinity. She's come down through the ages syncretized with different goddesses which is most blatant in Puerto Rico, Central & S. Americas
