If you don’t swear during the ritual it won’t work properly. I don’t make the rules I just know what works.

That tree is out of focus. Probably some sort of hack analogy for the ritual; we pretend that the tree is the focus but really the background situation is the focus. The ritual tree allows for the tensegrity of the Christmas mandala to manifest. Meh...you get the idea

We used to grow a christmas tree in the garden and then Dad would go and dig it up when the Time Had Come and we’d decorate it with some odd paper fish things from the attic and eat a mince pie. In retrospect, my training in ritual started early.

That’s a nice idea, I haven’t heard of people reusing a tree each year. Also you’re right about untangling lights, ha.
