i'm normally not a huge gearfetishist, but i am a fetishist for older robust vintage designs, which also happen to be crazy cheap, so it's hard to resist.. i have 17 50mm primes alone, lmfao
Haha, I guess the hugeness of your gearfetish is relative then. A friend said that the standard of optics in old prime lenses is way underpriced compared to modern lenses, especially as I’m shooting manual anyway.

yeah and the advent of mirrorless has made them amazingly practical. none of them can compete with the relative end-to-end perfection in modern lenses, and some have their weird quirks, but they're all fun to use in their own way
