Kaj/Tim, do you have any favourite books on NVC? Context: So far everything I’ve read and seen practiced by committed NVCists is a crock of wank, and makes me think of it as an irredeemable omnishambles which is terrible for any relationship worth having.

I've mostly just read Rosenberg's original book and I thought it was fantastic but often misunderstood: e.g. it says that NVC isn't a set of rules that you impose on others; if you're telling others how they should talk then you're doing it wrong. Often hard to follow though.

Hmmm, ok....perhaps I should return to Rosenberg's original book and give it another shot. I know several people who respect a lot, who like it a lot, even if NVC sounds like double speak to me. It is certainly possible that my distaste for NVC is a result of my thick skull.
