It may be the case that ontologically real love binds the entire universe together. One can verify this for themselves with a superb epistemological-transformative practice. Maybe 3000-9000 hours for a good practice and a good starting setup. I'm not there, just yet. Soon.

FWIW, Longchenpa thought something like that. I'm too bad at philosophy to know whether he related to it as 'ontologically real', but I would guess that his teaching on nature of mind is about distinguishing 'living reality' (so to speak), from our conceptual confusions.

Cool. I’m using ‘ontologically real’ loosely, emptiness of emptiness and all that. But very cool.

I'm finding it interesting as I go further down the Dzogchen hole how many of their claims *sound* like theistic claims. That's all.pic.twitter.com/izAZu5pjcZ

There’s a lot of woo in there but it isn’t theistic, that would be an interpretative error.

Not claiming that they're theists or the claims are theistic. Just pointing out that there's something in dzogchen that tends toward having experiences / using language that fer sher resonates with theistic language & experience in ways that e.g. Theravada doesn't

Interesting idea. I haven't practiced Christian Mysticism, so I don't know what experiences it produces. Have you heard of Randall Studstill? If you're interested in this area you might enjoy his work, he wrote a book exploring Dzogchen and German Mysticism.
