What is a communicable feeling you don't feel very often, but enjoy it when you do?
Oh yeah anger is a good one. It’s a shame when people like to think of themselves as being peaceful, because then they never get under the anger...they just let it drive them about from time to time. I like your phrasing ‘space of possibilities’ It does feel that way doesn’t it.

It’s funny isn’t it, how we get so used to our opinions about ourselves, that we forget they’re a story. PS: I sometimes think that about the relationship between individuals and groups, and how that shapes the emotions we allow/forbid, what is/isn’t salient....kind of spooky.

Also relevant to this question is your thread about your experience of learning how to feel emotions. Good stuff:https://twitter.com/tr4nsmute/status/1161782249404190720?s=21 …

yes...i would say that the problem is not just that we repress anger, but that it is usually accompanied by resentment. and it is unfortunate that many nice and peaceful people are actually just driven by _fear_

i think the tricky part is learning how to be kind from a position of strength--not being "nice" just because you're afraid. this fear is not necessarily of retaliation from another person, but it could be the fear that the relation could end if you speak up etc.
