Analogue camera users, any recommendations for books/youtubers/bloggers? I picked up an Olympus OM-2 to play with.

Hey! I shoot a fair bit of film. Not sure of where you’re at, but I found the exposure triangle concept very helpful as a framework for thinking about shooting manual - lots of explanations if you google. Also http://butkus.org has a whole bunch of scanned camera manuals

For colour negative film, this is a great article demonstrating exposure latitudehttp://canadianfilmlab.com/2014/04/24/film-stock-and-exposure-comparisons-kodak-portra-and-fuji/ …

I’ve found books/YouTubers generally hit and miss (either too basic or focused on b+w, and I shoot mostly colour), but really enjoy William Eggleston’s colour photography for learning - a good stage in the development of photos as art with good composition, colour and no irony

Last thing - If you shoot landscapes or like saturation, try a roll of Velvia 50 early on! It’s slide film, so low latitude, but has great colours and makes a good case for filmpic.twitter.com/yCMNEQpmBj
